Dr. Shau is a board-certified pediatric dentist of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from UCLA, graduating magna cum laude and with Dean’s Honors List distinctions. After college, Dr. Shau remained at the UCLA School of Dentistry to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He graduated from dental school with numerous honors, including the UCLA Section of Pediatric Dentistry Award for excellence in the specialty. He then completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, followed by a residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital of Bronx, New York. At St. Barnabas, Dr. Shau also served as chief resident in pediatric dentistry. Before joining Austin Children’s Dentistry, Dr. Shau practiced in the greater Houston area while serving as clinical assistant professor at the UT Houston School of Dentistry.
